For 65 years, Dumfries and Galloway College has been part of the story of our region, it’s people and it’s industries.
Our story begins in 1961, on George Street, Dumfres, where Dumfries Technicial College welcomed it’s first students. As the college has grown, so too have the generations of students, staff and communities connected to it.
Our new DGC65 Heritage Trail brings that story to life. Guiding visitors through the key moments, memories and milestones which celebrate the people and places which have shaped the college over more than six decades
Here, you see our students and staff installing the trail, helping to prepare it ahead of its launch and bringing those stories to life.
As you follow the trail, you will see how the college has grown from its earliest days on George Street into the vibrant, forward looking institution it is today.
Because the story of Dumfries & Galloway College is still being written.
